Obituary for Alice (Elsie) Woywitka (née Nowakowsky)

Alice (Elsie) Woywitka (née Nowakowsky)
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our wonderful Mother, Baba, and Great-Baba, Alice, who passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at the age of 90 years.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her children, Cindy (Fred) Fermaniuk, Dave (Pam) Woywitka, Joyce (Gary) Szybunka, Ernie (Lorna) Woywitka and Karen Woywitka (Nick); along with her 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Mary Ann Nowakowsky and Anne (John) Stigant; and sister-in-law, Gail Nowakowsky. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Andrew (1980); son, Henry (1955); and brother, Peter (2015).

Alice’s greatest loves were her family, friends and farm life. She always took an interest and enjoyed knowing what her children and their families were doing. She was very proud of them and all of their accomplishments. Alice was always involved in the day-to-day activities on the farm and she was an excellent cook, an avid gardener and had a passion for flowers.
