Barbara Ann Chornowol

December 11, 1933 - May 22, 2023

Barbara will be forever remembered by her loving family, brother John Bayzand (Lynne), her son John Verchomin, daughter Laurie Verchomin (Brad Montchar), son David Verchomin ( Jackie O’Regan), son Michael Verchomin, grandchildren Candice MacPhee (Danny), David Johnson (Alison), Niko and Evan Ramsay, Tara Butler, Josie Verchomin and Edward Verchomin as well as many nephews and nieces. She also leaves her late husband Walter Chornowol’s family: daughter Areta Norris, grandchildren Stephen Norris (Brittany), Jason Norris (Stephanie), David Norris and Amanda MacNeil (Rob) and 6 great grandchildren.

Predeceased by her father Laurie Bayzand and her mother Anne; sisters Lorraine Martens and Janet Hinchcliff, and the father of her children Orest Verchomin. Many thanks to the staff and Dr. S Shakil at Lewis Estates Retirement Residence, where she spent her last years.

Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Barbara’s Life will be held on Monday, May 29, 2023, at 3:30 p.m. at Park Memorial Chapel, 9709 – 111 Avenue, Edmonton. In lieu of flowers, please listen to your favorite piece of music in her honor.
