Obituary for Cassandra Di Timoteo

Cassandra Di Timoteo
We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Cassandra Di Timoteo on September 13, 2022 at the age of 29. She was born in Edmonton on June 11, 1993 to Kathy and Ernesto Di Timoteo along with her twin brother, Andrew.

Cassandra grew up in a tight knit family and spent her childhood adventuring with her cousins, and travelling to Italy multiple times to visit relatives there. She enjoyed dance, karate, and playing soccer when she was younger. She had a creative mind and developed an interest in photography. After graduating from St. Albert Catholic High School, she completed the Photo Tech program at NAIT and later the Addictions and Community Services Work program at Reeves College. Despite her own struggles with mental health and addiction, Cassandra was a shining light to all who knew her.

She was bold, courageous, feisty, fearless, and had a huge heart. She cared deeply about all of the family and friends in her life, as well as her 3 cats (SJ, Daisy, and Lacey). Cassandra had the ability to reach people in a deep and positive way. She loved her family and would do anything and everything for them.

Cassandra is survived by her parents, Kathy and Ernesto Di Timoteo; brother; Andrew (Shae) Di Timoteo; grandmother, Cathy Giuliano; aunts and uncles, Rosa Giuliano, Dina Giuliano (Tom Kozel), Assunta (Jaret) Beattie, Vince (Kera) Giuliano, Vilma (Tonino) Ferro, Luciana Di Timoteo, and Flora Di Timoteo; cousins, Joey (Tia) Caldaralo, Frankie Caldaralo (Sarah Hook), Matteo Caldaralo, Francesco and Chiara Beattie, Leo and Audrey Giuliano, Federico Ferro, and Fabienne Di Timoteo.

Cassandra is predeceased by her grandparents, Assunta and Frank Giuliano and Serafino and Lidia Di Timoteo; and great grandparents, Rosa and Michele Gennaro, Giovanni and Assunta Daniele, Ernesto and Pasqualina Di Timoteo and Alberto and Lucia Di Fillipo.

A Prayer Service to honor and remember Cassandra will be held on Thursday, September 22 at 7 p.m. at St. Albert Catholic Parish, 7 St. Vital Avenue, St. Albert. Funeral Mass Friday, September 23 at 10 a.m. at St. Albert Catholic Parish with interment in Holy Cross Cemetery.
