Condolences

Condolence From: Keith Robinson
Condolence: Darrel worked for me several years ago, basically got me sorted out and organized. He was an amazing writer and helped develop quality assurance procedures that we still use today. It was at this time that he met Stephanie... and unfortunately left us out of honour to his betrothed... and then lost contact for a while as he was working through her lose. I ran into him several times at various venues in recent years, always in good spirits and dishing out his familiar witticisms. I counted myself as a close acquaintance... he limited his circle of friends... and I was happy with that. He will be missed.

Condolence: Darryl and l became neighbours about twenty years ago. Our love for animals, good wine, good food and great conversations cemented our friendship. His sidekick Lilo was a ray of sunshine in Darryl’s life. His joie de vivre was the time he spent with Stephanie, the love of his life. He radiated such happiness when he was with her and she complemented and fulfilled his life in every way. Darryl was one of a kind. Extremely intelligent, insightful and caring. I have many good memories of the times we spent together and for that l will forever be grateful.

Condolence From: Mary Anne van Leeuwen (Hamilton)
Condolence: There will never be another person like you. You hid your generous heart very well with your crusty exterior. I adored your sense of humour and outlook on life. Never a 'run of the mill' person, you brought your own light to this world and we are thankful for that. I will miss you and would love to have one more conversation with you - smart remarks and laughter and your great smile, and sharing a smoke. You looked death in the face but this time it won. Now you will be with Stephanie on the next big adventure. Rest in peace, my friend. This journey is complete.
