Condolences

Condolence From: Steven Ulyett
Condolence: Family of Doris Ondrisik

Sorry but I didn’t see the obit until the Sunday of the funeral.

My wife Judy Ulyett (Room 6) came to Shepherds care in June of 2021 when COVID was bad and lockdowns were often.

Judy and Doris became friends – out of necessity, and because the two of them were both lucid and could converse. Doris took Judy under her wing- also like a daughter!

When Edna Sinclair’s family started coming nearly every evening- the three or four of them enjoyed the bingos – they had some good laughs and won some “cheesy” prizes, but it killed some of the boredom after those early suppers.

When Judy got her own room “6” Doris let me come into her room to see how to set Judy’s up.

Doras was a TINY lady but with a BIG & GOOD HEART who helped Judy until this past October, and I thank her for that.

Condolence From: Marilyn Harke
Condolence: I met Doris in 1968 at the University Hospital in Edmonton where we had both just had the same surgery. We kept in touch for several years but unfortunately lost touch as sometimes happens. Please know I have happy memories shared with her as well as John. I was also honoured to share with her when she lost her daughter. May you find comfort in memories of happier times.
