Elizabeth Livia Gortva
On August 30, 2022, Elizabeth Livia Gortva of Edmonton passed away at the age of 89 years.

Elizabeth is survived by her three daughters and one son, Maria, Andrea (Graeme), George Peter (Veronica) and Livia (Bino); five grandchildren, Alexander, Stephanie, Andrew, McCaunelly and Victoria; as well as her extended family in Hungary and Canada. Predeceased by her husband, George; parents, Maria and Lajos Táal; and brother, Sandor.

Prayers Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at 8 p.m. at Park Memorial Chapel, 9709 – 111 Avenue. Funeral Mass Thursday, September 8, 2022, at 10 a.m. at Santa Maria Goretti Roman Catholic Church, 9110 – 110 Avenue with interment in St. Michael’s Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Alberta, NWT & Nunavut, 10985 - 124 Street NW, Edmonton, AB T5M 0H9.
