It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Eugene Matichuk on July 17, 2022, one week shy of turning 82.

He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Gail, daughters Cheryl and Christine, son Lionel, his wife Namika and their children Owen and Kaila.

Eugene was predeceased by his parents Fred and Nellie, siblings Mary, John and Helen. Eugene taught elementary school for 39 years.

The three things that brought Gene joy were family dinners, curling and golf at the Glendale Country Club.

The family is thankful for all of the friends and family who have shared messages of support during this difficult time.

Prayers will be held Sunday, July 24, 2022, at 6 p.m. at Park Memorial Chapel, 9709 – 111 Avenue, Edmonton with Right Reverend Victor Lakusta officiating.
