Obituary for Frantisek "Frank" Plesner
It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of František “Frank” Plešner on Monday, May 15, 2023, at the age of 90 years.
Frank is survived by his wife of 70 years, Lida; daughter, Yvette (Don); sons, Ivo (Julie), Vlasta (Silvia), Peter (Julie) and Vit (Janice); brother, Josef (Vera); numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Frank was born in the Czech Republic in 1933 and immigrated to Canada in 1970. He worked for Finning, Hyalog as a machinist. He was known for his quirky dry humour and uniquely delicious potato salad. He was a master hoarder of tools and fasteners that he would later use to "save the day" when building projects didn't go as planned. He also loved tending to his raspberry bushes and vegetable garden.
At Frank's request, no formal service will be held.
