It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and nonno, Gabriele Miceli on Monday, December 12, 2022, at the age of 91 years.

Gabriele is survived by his loving wife, Maria; children, Francesco (Susan), Umberto (Lucina) and Chiarina (Calum); grandchildren, Jessica (Errick), Kaylee (Jessie), Paula (Zach), Abdon, Valentina (Mike), Cassandra (Adam), Liam (Kayla) and Jenna; great-grandchildren, Lily, Ava, Isabelle, Isla, Kiara, Lucas, Dante, Aleena, Vincent, Anaya and Riley; sister, Elvira; sister-in-law, Franca; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends.

He joins in Heaven his recently departed brother, Alfredo and many other relatives.

Gabriele had a love of winemaking and playing host by making an espresso for anyone who came to visit. He was a hardworking, loving man who never complained a day in his life, with a great sense of humour and endless compassion.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff and doctors of the Grey Nuns Hospital, units 54 and 43 for their care and compassion.

Family and friends may pay their respects Thursday, December 15, 2022, from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Park Memorial, 9709 – 111 Avenue, Edmonton. Prayers will take place Thursday, December 15, 2022, at 8 p.m. at Santa Maria Goretti Roman Catholic Church, 9110 - 110 Avenue, Edmonton. A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, December 16, 2022, at 1:30 p.m. and Santa Maria Goretti Roman Catholic Church. Reverend Father Roy Antony, CFIC officiating with entombment in Holy Cross Mausoleum.
