Condolences

Condolence From: Anne Ryan
Condolence: It has been a long time since I had an interaction with Gail but I always remember her as being upbeat and looking for solutions instead of making things more difficult. I always appreciated that about Gail. The world will miss her and especially her family. My heart hurts for her family and dear friends for they have lost so much with her passing.
Forever remembered, Anne Ryan

Condolence From: Iván Győző Somlai
Condolence: My first chance to meet Gail was when she and her husband Stan invited me (a poor university student who was also working full time at the Calgary Central Y) to their place for a real home cooked dinner of pierogy ...and other nourishing fundamentals! This was in late 1969 or early 1970 (if I recall correctly). That was the start of a many years-long friendship with Gail and her family. Fortune brought us working together with other exemplary colleagues between 1977 and 1980 at the Sherwood Park Recreation Department.
Always cheerful, caring, funny....a delight to be around. Her record of quality public and private service speak to her abundant energy, professional dedication and love.
I offer my sincere condolences to my friend and mentor Stan as well as Stanley, Susan and extended family. May Gail's memories bring peace and comfort; may she rest in peace and may the family know no more sorrow.

Condolence: I am saddened by the news of the passing of Mrs. Fisher. Her son Stan Jr and I were very close in our younger years and she was like a second mother. A truly lovely, kind and wonderful person. My heart goes out to the Fisher family.

Condolence: So sorry to read of Gail’s health issues and passing. We spent many years working together and sharing our lives. As you know, we were like a big family at RPC and Gail was a big contributor to that environment. I extend deep sympathy to you three. She will be missed but never forgotten by those that had the privilege of knowing her.

Condolence: In the later stages of our lives, most of us can count on one hand the number of true friends we have. Gail was one of mine, and I loved her.

Condolence: I will never be able to eat fish and chips without thinking of Gail. Loved our work lunches together. Loved her sense of humor, but most of all, so grateful to have known such a wonderful person as Gail Fisher. My thoughts are with her family at this very sad time.
