It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our father Giandomenico Potestio of Edmonton, AB. After a long and courageous battle with cancer he passed away at the age of 83 on February 12, 2023 with his family by his side.

Giandomenico was a loving and caring father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and uncle and will be forever missed by his children, John Paul (Tess), Alfonso, Michael, and Maria Teresa.

He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Francesca, Giandomenico, Jonathan, Alesha, Samantha, Isabella, Emily, Brooke, Madeline, Oliver, Austin, and Ashton.

He also leaves to mourn his sisters and brothers Luisa (Salvatore) Alampi, Enrico (Liliana) Potestio, Mario (Bonnie) Potestio, Ellida (Tony) Giardino, Orietta (Tony) Caterina, and Gianfranco (Julie) Potestio, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Giandomenico is predeceased by his mother (Sina), father (Alfonso), brother (Mario), sister (Mara) and brother in law (Giuseppe).

He also leaves behind numerous family members and friends in Italy and Winnipeg.
