We are saddened to announce the passing of Giovanni “John” Botticelli on Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at the age of 85 years.

John is survived by his wife, Rose; children, Lisa (Luciano) Caputo and Pat (Terry) Hayden; grandchildren, Carlo, Marco (Rima), Mike (Mandy), Nick (Miel) and Steve (Tara); great-grandchildren, Arabella and Tyson; brothers, Tony (Angela) and Angelo (Alba); brothers-in-law, Amerigo and Nando (Anna); sister-in-law, Giuseppina; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

He was predeceased by his sister, Rita; brother, Elio; and nephew, Gianni.

A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at 10 a.m. at Santa Maria Goretti Roman Catholic Church, 9110 - 110 Avenue, Edmonton. Entombment will follow in Holy Cross Mausoleum with Reverend Father Roy Antony, CFIC officiating.

In memory of John, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
