With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Giovanni “John” Giacomin on Sunday, August 28, 2022.

Born in Nervesa della Battaglia in Northern Italy on October 31, 1928, he came to Canada in 1955 and moved here permanently with his wife in 1960. It was here he started a family and very proudly earned his ticket as a journeyman carpenter, doing a job he loved.

Giovanni is survived by his wife of almost 62 years, Anna; his daughters, Susan (James) and Barbara (Dan); his son, Lawrence; along with nieces, nephews and in-laws in Italy. He was predeceased by his mother, father and three sisters.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, September 16, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Park Memorial Reception Centre, 11015 – 101 Street, Edmonton.
