Obituary for Helen Schulha

Helen Schulha
On Friday, March 10, 2023, Helen Schulha passed away peacefully at the wonderful age of 96.

Helen is survived by her son, Barrie (Susan); daughter, Karen (Derek); grandchildren, Robin (Nick), Reese (Nic), Bryn and Brett. She was predeceased by her husband, William in 2011.

Helen’s Mantra was “I’ve lived a great life”. Her home was always a busy hub for the neighbourhood kids and a place for many large family gatherings - especially the annual shuffleboard tournament. Helen and Bill were very active in the United Church, the Highlands Lawn Bowling Club and with the Norwood Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion.
Helen had a lengthy career, working as a bookkeeper and comptroller for several Edmonton companies over the years.

Special thanks to the staff of Shepherd’s Care Kensington Village for eight years of wonderful care, as well as the staff of Capital Care Grandview for looking after Helen during the past year.

A private interment will be held and there will be no formal service. In lieu of flowers or other tributes, donations may be made to the Bissell Centre or a charity of one’s choice.
