James Tyronne Tyler
James Tyronne Tyler, lovingly known as "Jimmy" and "Bucks" left this earth on September 11, 2022, to be with Jesus and his loved ones in Heaven. He passed away at the age of 74 years in Edmonton, Alberta, where he was born.

Honouring James’ memory are his six children, Charmaine, Tasca, Jade, Tiana, Tylan “Jimaine”, and Lance (Rhonda); six grandchildren, Colleen, Jordan, Asia, Rashad, Shae, and Clyde; two sisters, Debbie (Daryl) and Karol (Len); three sisters-in-law, Barbara, Dianne, and Joan; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Predeceased by his parents, Doll and Raymond (Sonny) Tyler; his former partners, Millie Black and Gerry Bird; two sisters, Joanna “Kitty” and Judy; five brothers, Tuppy, Keith, Ahlen, Frank, and Raymond; two common-law sisters, Carrie “Goldie” and Sheila.

James devoted his life to his family and friends. Many from the Tyler-Mayes family share cherished memories of Christmas celebrations at Jimmy and Millie's home. He loved R&B classics, driving his favourite cars, watching TV game shows and sports, and reaching out to those he cared about with a phone call or visit. He was known for his bright smile, hearty laugh, great sense of humour and warm, generous nature. He was skilled at instantly charming his way into your heart and making everyone feel special. He touched many lives and will be deeply missed.

Family and friends may pay their respects Friday, September 16, 2022, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Park Memorial, 9709 – 111 Avenue, Edmonton. A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, September 18, 2022, at 1 p.m. at Park Memorial.
