Obituary for James Joseph "Jim" Umrysh

 James Joseph "Jim"  Umrysh
Jim was born on December 26, 1953, to John and Ethel Umrysh in Camrose, Alberta.

Jim attended his schooling in Holden, Alberta, and after graduating in 1971, he hopped on the tractor and took over the operations at the family farm. Jim worked for the City of Edmonton as a grader operator for 35 years into his retirement.

Jim is survived by his sisters, Emily Chrystian, Joan Sutherland and Chris Umrysh; brother, Raymond (Sheila); nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, relatives and numerous friends. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Ethel; and sisters, Bernice Umrysh and Elizabeth Sass.

The family wishes to thank all who have provided comfort and support during this difficult time.

Prayer Vigil will be held Thursday, June 16, 2022, at 7:30 p.m. at Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church (Holden Farms). Divine Liturgy Friday, June 17, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. at Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church. Reverend Mark Bayrock officiating, with interment to follow in the Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church Cemetery Fund.
