On Tuesday, January 24, 2023, Joseph Lloyd Kathrein of Greencourt, AB, passed away at the age of 83 years.

Joe will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 58 years, Audrey; children, Diana (Randy) Schmidt of Barrhead, AB and Lyle (Michele) of Claresholm, AB; grandchildren, Darci (Lee), Tyler (Chelsie), Ashley (Justin) and Dani; great-grandchildren, Weston, Berklee and Tripper; brothers, Albert (Rose) and Edward; sister, June; sisters-in-law, Marilynn and Delia; Joe’s Braithwaite family, Dwaine (Carol), Kit, Valarie (Dale) and Janis (Winston); and many dear nieces, nephews and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents, Carl and Elizabeth; brothers, Frank, John, Robert, Daniel and George (Angèle); brother-in-law, Melvin; sisters, Dorothy (Ray) and Virginia (John).

Thank you to the doctors and staff of the Mayerthorpe Healthcare Centre for the exceptional care and support shown to Joe and the family.

A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at 1 p.m. at the Mayerthorpe Diamond Centre, 4918 - 54 Street, Mayerthorpe, AB, officiated by Reverend Ruth Lotholz.
