Obituary for Jovie June Elizabeth (JJ) MacDonald

Jovie June Elizabeth (JJ) MacDonald
We are heartbroken to announce that our beloved baby girl, Jovie June Elizabeth MacDonald “JJ” was born peacefully sleeping on September 13, 2022.

Jovie June or Jobie Jubie, as nicknamed by her big sister, never got to experience any of this world, but the most important thing is she knew she was her momma’s world, surrounded by momma’s warmth and the soothing sound of her heartbeat. Jovie loved hearing her daddy’s voice and kicking his hands. Big sissy, Rhyan, always reminded Jovie how excited she was to have a little sister, kissing and rubbing mom’s belly to wish a good morning and a good night.

Our sweet girl is survived by her mom and dad, Marissa and Ryan MacDonald; big sister, Rhyan; maternal grandparents, Tammy and Francis McPhee; great-grandparents, Julie (the late Alonzo Macneil) and Isabel (the late Omer McPhee); paternal grandparents, Sheri Eagles and Ronnie (Sandi) MacDonald; great-grandparents, Linda and Tony Eagles, the late Ada and Vindy MacDonald; her loving uncles, Evan, Nathan, Hayden and James (Sam); many aunts and honorary aunties, especially Joeleen who was by our side through it all, along with Jovie’s great-aunt, Jennie. She leaves behind her other great-aunts and great-uncles; her cousins, Gracie Jayne, Anaya, Remington, Ally and Erik, who were so excited to have a new best friend.

Our Jovie girl is predeceased by her uncle, Matthew, who is welcoming her home with open arms and warm hugs.

Jovie’s Funeral Service will be held Monday, September 19, 2022, at Park Memorial Funeral Home, 9709 – 111 Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta with Padre Jackson officiating. On bagpipes will be someone dear to our hearts, James Easton.

We’d like to take the time to recognize three amazing nurses, Chauntell, Tara and Janelle of the Sturgeon Community Hospital. You impacted our stay in a positive way and loved our girl as much as we did.

If you desire, any donations of flowers would be gratefully accepted.

THESE ARE MY FOOTPRINTS

These are my footprints, so perfect and so small.
These tiny footprints, never touched the ground at all.
Not one tiny footprint, for now I have my wings.
These tiny footprints were meant for other things.
You will hear my tiny footprints, in the patter of the rain.
Gentle drops like angel’s tears, of joy and not from pain.
You will see my tiny footprints, in each butterflies’ lazy dance.
I’ll let you know I’m with you, if you just give me a chance.
You will see my tiny footprints, in the rustle of the leaves.
I will whisper names into the wind, and call each one that grieves.
Most of all, these tiny footprints are found in mummy’s heart,
‘cause even though I’m gone now, we’ll never truly part.
