Obituary for Kenneth Michael Hindman

Kenneth Michael Hindman
February 23, 1952 – April 19, 2023

Ken peacefully passed away in his sleep on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, surrounded by his family after a short battle with mesothelioma lung cancer.

Ken is survived by his wife, Maureen “Maurney”; son, Aarron and family; and his daughter, Amy and family.

Ken was born in Owen Sound, ON, where he enjoyed his youth fishing with his three brothers. He met his wife, Maurney and they moved west to Edmonton, AB to raise their family. He continued in his trade to become a well-respected Glass and Glazier Journeyman. Ken was a wonderful provider for his wife and family, allowing for many adventures along the way, including manning the grill while hosting many backyard gatherings, camping, travels across Canada, many sunsets in Mexico, a retirement trip of a lifetime to the UK and many more.

He found joy in activities such as playing golf, darts, pool, poker and guitar. Ken also enjoyed working with his hands - doing home renos, yard work and wood working. Ken had a great life filled with lots of love and laughter with many friends and family.

Please join us for his Celebration of Life Friday, May 5, 2023, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Kingsway Royal Canadian Legion, 14339 - 50 Street NW, Edmonton, Alberta. Please be comfortable and colourful!

In lieu of other tributes, donations may be made to the Kingsway Royal Canadian Legion Branch #175, 14339 - 50 Street NW, Edmonton, AB T5A 0S9.
