It is with great sadness and much love that we say goodbye to our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Lois Jean Johnston who passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 20, 2022, at the age of 85 years.

She will be deeply missed and will live on in the memories of her daughters, Carol (Allan), Marilyn (Clark) and Linda; six grandchildren, Lois (Raynold), Ryan (Nav), Mary (Saheed), Jennifer (Oliver), Megan (Axel) and Cindy (Ross); nine great-grandchildren, Payton, Heidi, Ava, Temi, Evan, Rose, Tessa, Mia and Nikki; brothers, Robert (Bob) and George; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her father, Charles; mother, Lily; brother, Dave; sister, Margaret; son-in-law, Tom; and great-grandson, Jayden.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the doctors, caregivers and staff of Unit 12Y at the Edmonton General Continuing Care Centre, for their compassion and kindness during the time Jean was there.

A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, June 27, 2022, at 1:30 p.m. at McClure United Church, 13708 - 74 Street NW, Edmonton with Reverend Jim Lochhead officiating.

Donations in memory of Jean may be made to the MS Society of Canada or the Alzheimer Society of Alberta and Northwest Territories.
