Obituary for Louis Roy Slipchuk
It is with broken hearts that the family of Louis Roy Slipchuk announce his passing on Monday, May 1, 2023, at the age of 60 years.
Devoted son of Rose (Marko) and the Late Roy Slipchuk (2004). “Best-ever” brother to Dr. Michael (Ann) and Steven (Tammy). Adored uncle to Michael (Sara), Matthew (Dr. Shelby Koschuck), Daniel, Marcus Slipchuk, Melanie (Dr. Casey Rusin) and Curtis Slipchuk.
Louis will be remembered for his unmatched kindness and generosity to all.
Louis excelled as an auto and heavy-duty mechanic and he spent the past 20 years as a dedicated employee with the National Defense.
A special thanks to the staff at the Sturgeon Community Hospital - Unit 15, particularly Dr. Krista Bennett and Dr. Nabil Al-Kayssi.
Visitation Saturday, May 6, 2023, at 9 a.m. at Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Church, 6425 – 120 Avenue, Edmonton. Divine Liturgy Saturday, May 6, 2023, at 10 a.m. at Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Church. Very Reverend Mihajlo Planchak officiating with interment in St. Michael’s Cemetery. Following the interment, family and friends are invited back to the church auditorium for the opportunity to share memories of our dear Louis.
