March 2, 1934 – December 8, 2022

It is with great sadness that the family of Mario Storti announce his passing on December 8, 2022, at the age of 88 years. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and dear friend.

Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Diana (Mario) Scanga; three grandchildren, Spencer (Alyssa), Kassandra and Kohl Wandyka; great-granddaughter, Huxley; sisters-in-law, Lidia Nalin, Carmela Storti, Lidia Storti (Italy) and Nadia Nalin (Italy); brothers-in-law, Gianni Nalin (Italy) and Ivan Fusi (Italy); and many other close family and friends. He will forever be lovingly remembered for his unwavering devotion in caring for his family, amazing work ethic and generousity in helping others. He will be so dearly missed.

Mario was predeceased by his wife, Liliana; daughters, Luigia and Rosamaria; parents, Ernesto and Luigia Storti (Italy); brothers, Rino Storti and Giovanni Storti (Italy); infant sister, Maria Storti (Italy); brother-in-law, Roberto Nalin “Nino”; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Nives and Redento Bruni, sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Maria “Nina” and Dolpho Ferrari (Italy).

The family would like to express their sincerest gratitude to all the dedicated 4 Parker staff of Capital Care Lynnwood Extended Care Centre for their amazing care and support.

Family and friends may pay their respects Saturday, December 17, 2022, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Santa Maria Goretti Roman Catholic Church, 9110 – 110 Avenue NW, Edmonton. Funeral Mass Saturday, December 17, 2022, at 10 a.m. at Santa Maria Goretti Roman Catholic Church with interment in St. Michael’s Cemetery, 13819 – 82 Street NW, Edmonton.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Cross Cancer Institute.
