It is with overwhelming sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mary Jane Maslanko into the loving arms of the Lord Jesus, on October 3, 2022, at the age of 92.

Mary’s gift of hospitality, thankful and generous heart, and positive outlook were a constant encouragement to those around her. She had a radiant smile, loved her family deeply and was always interested in her family’s lives. She was a loving wife to Emile, a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Mary will be remembered for the numerous family gatherings hosted at her table. As an avid gardener she was also known for her love of flowers- especially pansies, carnations and roses. She loved doing word and jigsaw puzzles and playing card games. As a talented artist, her paintings will be a legacy and always cherished by her family.

Mary will be sadly missed by her daughter, Barbara; sons, Richard (Karen) and Jim (Alessandra); seven grandchildren, Tammy (David), Tracy (Desmond), Amy (Kyle), Heather (Dennis), Nathan (Christine), Talita and Melina; and twelve great-grandchildren whom she delighted in. She is also survived by her sisters, Anne and Olga.

Mary was predeceased by her husband, Emile; and infant daughter, Bonnie Lynn.

Family and friends may pay their respects Saturday, October 8, 2022, any time between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. at Park Memorial, 9709 – 111 Avenue, Edmonton.
