It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of Mary Ellian Matchee on Wednesday, February 1, 2023.

Mary is survived by her husband, William Vaughan; children, Ryan, Lolita, Rona, Michelle and Myrakle; grandchildren, Landon, Rain, Ava, Royce, Nevaeh, Lillian and Dahlia; mother, Annette Iron; father, Leon Matchee; siblings, Marie, Charles, Robert Jr., Lloyd, Greg, Pam, Tammy and Wayne; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends.

She was predeceased by her brother, Lawrence (Lalas) Matchee; grandparents, Jean Marie and Catherine Iron; stepdad, Robert Vuckvich; and stepparents, Margaret and Tom (chebebe and chahum).

A wake will be held Friday, February 10, 2023, at 4 p.m. at Sacred Heart Church of the First Peoples, 10821 – 96 Street, Edmonton. A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, February 11, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church of the First Peoples with cremation to follow in the Park Memorial Crematorium.
