On Monday, August 1, 2022, Matthew James Richards passed away unexpectedly at the age of 34 years in Edmonton, Alberta. He was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, nephew and cousin.

Matthew is survived by those who loved him most: his wife, Michelle; children, Emily (11), Lilian (9) and James (7); parents, Brian (Jessica) and Marie (Simon); brothers, Ryan (Andrea), Bradley, Seth and Avery, as well as his extended family and friends.

Matthew, we hope and pray that you have found the peace and rest that you so desperately sought in your short time with us.

A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, August 18, 2022, at 3:30 p.m. at Park Memorial Chapel, 9709 - 111 Avenue, Edmonton. We ask that your thoughts and prayers be with the family as they make their life journey without Matthew.

Family has asked that any donations be made to a GoFundMe account.
