Obituary for Norman "Norm" Cote

Norman Cote was born October 8, 1964, in Hinton, Alberta. He passed away suddenly October 13, 2022, at the age of 58 years in the Sturgeon Hospital, St. Albert.

Norman never married or had any children. He is survived by one sister, Pam Ford. Norman worked on the offshore drilling rigs way back in the day and had many stories of his work and being in Russia. He also worked at the Cherry Patch for Larry and Todd Mitchell, where they would distribute fruit to vendors. He also worked as a labourer in the concrete industry, up until a few years ago.

Norm was a very kind man and would give you the shirt off his back. He struggled with alcohol and living on the streets for years but had finally settled down into a 55+ men’s apartment building, where he resided until his passing. Norman will be deeply and dearly missed by all that he had befriended along the way.

Norman’s ashes will be spread at Snaring River with his best friend, Doug.

May you rest in peace, our dear friend!
