Obituary for Sergio Giorgi
On Wednesday, April 12, 2023, Sergio Giorgi of Edmonton passed away after a brief illness at the age of 86 years. With love in our hearts and a lifetime of happy memories, we say goodbye to our beloved Husband, Dad and Nonno.
Sergio will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 63 years, Rosa; three children, Ed (Laura), Danny (Debbie) and Lisa (Jeffrey); and his five grandchildren that he held so close to his heart and adored, David (Hanna), Matthew (Tonjra), Bryan, Kathryn (Michael) and Dayton; his three sisters and one brother, Elia (Fred) of Australia, Libera (Enrico), Maria (Silvano) and Franco (Nevia) of Italy; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Sergio was predeceased by his parents, two brothers and three sisters of Trieste, Italy.
The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the EMS team including the doctors and staff at the Sturgeon Community Hospital.
A Prayer Service will be held Wednesday, April 19, 2023, 7:30 p.m. at Santa Maria Goretti Roman Catholic Church, 9110 - 110 Avenue NW, Edmonton. A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, April 20, 2023,10:00 a.m. at Santa Maria Goretti Roman Catholic Church, 9110 – 110 Avenue, Edmonton, AB. Reverend Father Roy Antony, CFIC officiating with interment in St. Michael’s Cemetery.
