Obituary for Sylvain Lucien Charbonneau

On Monday August 22, 2022, Sylvain Lucien Charbonneau of Whitecourt Alberta passed away suddenly at the age of 63 with his daughters by his side.

Sylvain was born in Montreal, Quebec and was pre-deceased by his parents, Gisѐle and Germain; sister, Danielle; and his soul mate, Linda. He is survived by his daughters, Skye and Page; brothers, Richard (Sylvie), Michel (Francine), and Joёl; sister, Manon (Yves); and stepdaughter, Frankie (Brant).

Sylvain will be remembered as a hard-working man, who built a successful logging and sawmill business from the ground up. Sylvain had a passion for helping others and making people laugh. He enjoyed the simple things in life, such as going to the pool to sit in the hot tub, going to meet friends at Tim Hortons for coffee, and going to an auction sale. The happiness and peacefulness that radiated from him when he was with his daughters made it abundantly clear that they were his proudest achievement. He will be forever missed.

A gathering of Family and Friends in celebration of his life will be held Saturday, October 8th, 2022 at 1:00pm at St. Joseph’s Parish Hall, 5540 Mink Creek Road, Whitecourt, AB. To view a livestream of the Celebration of Life, please visit www.parkmemorial.com and select “Webcasting” from Sylvain’s Book of Memories. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of other tributes, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Alberta, NWT and Nunavut.
