It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Violet McGregor of Edmonton on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at the age of 82 years.

Violet will be lovingly remembered by her children, Darcy (Joanne) Caplette of Regina, and Crystal and April Derhousoff (Joe Giroux), both of Edmonton; eight grandchildren, Tiffany (Thomas) Derhousoff, Troy Derhousoff, Laura Derhousoff, Nikki Russell and Chantal (Cody) Russell, all of Edmonton and Tyleen Derhousoff, Natasha (James) Pretty, and Quintana (Brandon) Ilg, all of Regina; great-grandchildren, Jayleen Derhousoff, Jacob Moberly, Brody Russell, Violet Russell and Rose Russell, all of Edmonton and Tristan Derhousoff, Ryleey Derhousoff, Lincoln Pretty, Charles Pretty and Faye Ilg, all of Regina, Jacque Derhousoff, Zachary Derhousoff, Sophia Derhousoff and Summer Derhousoff; and sisters, Lona McDonald, Irene Powell, Geraldine Harris and Jean Gray.

She was predeceased by her husband, Eric McGregor; son, Thomas Derhousoff; parents, Charlie and Dalphine Caplette; brothers, Joseph Caplette and Donald Caplette; sister, Lucy Fleury; and grandson, Serge Derhousoff.

Thank you to all who have contributed to the memories that made her life meaningful.

A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, May 27, 2023, at 1 p.m. at Park Memorial Chapel, 9709 – 111 Avenue, Edmonton with interment in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
