We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Daniel James Shepherd-Schar on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at the age of 28 years.

Daniel is survived by his parents, Bernadine Schar and Rocky Shepherd; stepsiblings, Charlene, Nicole and Kevin Shepherd; grandparents, Hazel Ross; uncles and aunts, Audrey Shepherd, Tex Schar, Chelsea Chowace, Carson Shepherd and Betty-Ann Vivian; and step-nieces and step-nephews.

He was predeceased by his grandfather, Paul Schar; and uncles, Roland Shepherd and Alfred Schar.

Thank you to the staff of the Grey Nuns Hospital, the ACT team, Alberta Hospital, the Edmonton John Howard Society and the Hope Mission’s Rapid Exit Program. The family is grateful for your compassion and care shown to Daniel.
