We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Elena Mercuri on Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at the age of 86 years.

Elena is survived by her children, Frank (Cathy), Joe (Anna) and Emma; grandchildren, Francesca (Mario), Giustina, Francesco, Elena, Gabriella and Adriano; siblings, Carmela Storti, Joe (Lisa) Bernardo, Emma (Mike) Ferraro; sister-in-law, Erbina Bernardo; nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends. Predeceased by her parents, Pasquale and Rosina Bernardo; siblings, Giovanni Bernardo, Maria (Gino) Coccimiglio, and Francesco (Francesca) Bernardo; brother-in-law, Rino Storti; and nephew, Roberto Bernardo.

Friends and family may pay their respects Tuesday, September 20, 2022, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Park Memorial, 9709 – 111 Avenue, Edmonton. A private service will be held with entombment in Holy Cross Mausoleum.

In lieu of other tributes, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
