On Sunday, February 12, 2023, Helen Miner (née Holmgren) of Mayerthorpe peacefully passed away at the age of 84 years.

Helen will always be remembered and loved by her children, Dale, John, Rita (Jeff) and Donna (Craig); grandchildren, Chad (Jody), Corbey, Emily (Jesse), Kerry (Dean), Devin and Erika (Serhiy); great-grandchildren, Madison, Evan, Lilly, Haydn, Freya, Arlo, Peyton and Haley; sister, Rita (Lyle) Anderson; and brother, Bruce (Karen) Holmgren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was predeceased by her husband, Lars; brother, David; and sister, Georgina.

Helen was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She doted on her grandchildren and nurtured all who needed care and attention. She was very creative, known for her wonderful cooking and excelling at knitting and crocheting. Helen also took pleasure in camping and being outdoors. Above all else, family and her fur babies meant everything to her.
