June 12, 1942 – November 9, 2022

On November 9, 2022, Mr. Jack Reynold Patrick Johnson (Mahihkan) of Edmonton, formerly of East Prairie passed away at the age of 80 years.

Jack is survived by his only son, Jackie Willier; 2 stepsons, Lyle Willier and Clifford Willier; 3 stepdaughters, Louise Thomas, Irene Willier and Charlotte Willier; 22 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 2 sisters, Margaret Laagland of Lethbridge, AB and Shirley Johnson of Edmonton, AB. He also left behind numerous nieces and nephews who looked up to and honoured him like a father. Jack loved each and every one of them and treated them as he would his own.

He was predeceased by his parents, Emma and Ernest Johnson; brothers, Ernest Jr. Johnson, Mitchell Johnson and adopted brother, Oscar Laboucan; sister, Judith Carifelle; favourite aunt, Emily Andrews; his lifelong friend, cousin and confidant, Larry L’hirondelle; as well as many family members, friends and ancestors before him.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, November 18, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Park Memorial Chapel, 9709 – 111 Avenue, Edmonton. Cremation has taken place.
