On Sunday, October 23, 2022, José Valentim Bento passed away surrounded by his family, at the age of 83 years.

José is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Maria; daughter, Isabelle; two grandchildren, Mia and Gabriel; siblings, David, Maria, Virginia and Domingos (Teresa); brother-in-law, Alberto (Helena); and nephews, Albert (Lori) and Mark. He is lovingly remembered by numerous family members in Europe. Predeceased by brothers, Fernando and Silvino.

Funeral Mass Friday, October 28, 2022, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Roman Catholic Church, 12311 – 55 Street NW, Edmonton. Reverend Marcio Luiz da Costa officiating with interment in St. Michael’s Cemetery.
