It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Dr. Nikola Radisic, our precious Djedo, on July 19, 2022, at the age of 91 years.

He remains forever in the hearts of his children, Djordje (Danica), Nebojsa (Vesna); grandchildren, Nikola, Teodora (Richard), Olivera, and Namanja; and great-grandchild, Isidora.

Nikola was predeceased by his wife, Gordana; his parents, Stevo and Sava; as well as seven sisters and four brothers.

Nikola was a great man; a kind and loving husband, father, djedo, and uncle who cared for his family and friends beyond measure. He was an honest, generous, and hardworking person. Nikola is remembered as a great doctor back home and was a highly respected member of his community in all the places he lived. He loved reading, exploring history and politics, travelling, gardening, ice fishing, and spending time with his family and friends. Nikola was also known for his great sense of humour and consideration shown to all who knew him.

Our dear Djedo will be missed by all, loved forever, and never forgotten!

Prayer Service Sunday, July 24, 2022, at 8 p.m. at Park Memorial Chapel, 9709 – 111 Avenue, Edmonton.

Funeral Rite Monday, July 25, 2022, at 10 a.m. at St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church, 12904 – 112 Street, Edmonton. Reverend Vukic Atanaskovic officiating with interment to follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church in Nikola’s honour.
